Sommer has been a leading distributor of shrink technology, cables and cable system accessories for more than 40 years. Together with our English sister company, we maintain one of the largest warehouses in Europe. You will find us in a centrally and easily accessible location in Neuhausen near Stuttgart.

Our history

Sommer GmbH was founded in 1978 as a pure shrink tube dealer. Over the years, the company successively expanded its portfolio to include renowned manufacturers.

In 1998, the privately run Sommer GmbH became a subsidiary of Diploma PLC. A short time later, a new efficient sales and logistics centre was constructed in Neuhausen in the immediate vicinity of Stuttgart Airport. Today, we operate one of the largest warehouses for shrink technology, cables and cable system accessories within our global corporate group.
